As promised, here is the proposed route. The complete itinerary is still being fine tuned, but here is what it looks like right now:
Day 1 - leave Philadelphia and drive for as long as humanly possible en route to Chicago
Day 2 - get to Chicago early in the morning and spend the rest of the day there
Day 3 - leave Chicago in the morning and make our way southwest towards Omaha
Day 4 - leave Omaha and continue West towards Denver, where Eve has family
Day 5 - stay in Denver until the early afternoon, then head towards Salt lake City
Day 6 - arrive in SLC and spend the remainder of the day
Day 7 - head for Yosemite
Day 8 - spend the whole day in Yosemite hiking and camp that night
Day 9 - arrive in Berkeley
If anyone has any suggestions for attractions along the way, drop me a line

we must find a corn maze and the world's largest ball of twine on our way out....
ReplyDeleteI will research now - there is bound to something worthy of Ripley's for you to see
ReplyDeleteI am dedicated to following you and Eve trek across the mighty land (and meet you once and for all!)
ReplyDeleteI told Eve this already, but just a heads up that Yosemite might already be filled up with camping so make a reservation soon! And you can always check out "Wall Drug" in good ol' South Dakota. If you pass through, you'll get to see Wall Drug and Sturgis bike rally!
When does day 1 begin?
ReplyDeleteHey Tim... all the best from Robin, Justin and Dave. We'll be watching!!! Its not about the destination.... its about the ride! Well, after the ride it will be about the destination: UC Berkley!
